New Evaluation Method May Alter Species status

In the article, “New Evaluation Method May Alter Species status , Salinero states that there are two opinion about status of endangered manatee and other mammal. The author first introduces the views of scientists with the Florida fish and Wildlife Commission which claim manatee and other animals such as gopher tortoise, peregrine falcon, crawfish have protected but their status may re-evaluate because the number of manatee have increased. On the contrary, U.S. Geological Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service claim manatee populations is urgent on South Atlantic and Southwest Florida coasts due to watercraft collisions. Therefore, there are a discussion on this contention whether is listed to protect manatee and other animals.
To begin with, manatee should be listed by several agency and government. Manatee is primarily endangered and the number of it is now scarce. The force of nature is strong but it has connected in close. Therefore, if there are a little bit change in this environment where has endangered species, they may face a crisis again. For example, manatee population is increase so manatee is not in a list. But if their circumstance is change like going down their food, they will starve and die. Also, many habitat of manatee has become extinct except Florida.
Second, extermination of a stock is responsible to human because most of the problems are made by human. Especially, watercraft collisions occur through human’s carelessness. Therefore, to maintain or protect manatee, agency should add the name in the list about extermination.
Consequently, manatee should be listed in order to protect them because habitat of manatee is so sensitive that it may have easily a bad effect. In addition, people made the problems which menace the right to live. I think that manatee is the object to protect and everybody should make effort.
